Biography

Selina’s passion and love for oriental dance and music began in her early childhood. Having lived for long periods of time in a family from Palestine the young Selina became greatly interested in arabic music and dance. Later, Selina lived for long periods for of time in Turkey, where she immersed herself in the Turkish dance. Her interest in the oriental dance grew into a lifestyle and a profession and she begun to travel to a range of countries and studied under many of the masters of the artform.
Today, Selina has performed at hundreds of events with her dance. She has performed at everything from private parties and oriental restaurants, to gigantic castles and amphitheaters. Her repertoire includes a variety of oriental dances with various dance props. At performances she always wears stage makeup and clothing designed by the top fashion houses in Egypt and Turkey.
Selina’s students describe her as inspirational, experienced and humble. She leads the dance troupe "Turkish Delight", and organizes belly dance trips to Turkey, oriental inspired sewing clubs, lectures and shows. In 2010 Selina started "The advanced dancers, teachers & professional performer’s course", a diploma education in Egyptian dance and music by Hossam & Serena Ramzy in England.
